part 2 of fresh start

so on September 4th 2009 after I got my permanent restraining order from my ex boyfriend Ricky,
my life changed dramatically I wasn't fearful of him attacking me anymore, or stalking me or physically hurting me.
eventually me and Eli realized we wanted to be more then friends, and decided that day to start dating. I know seems kind of quick but you cant stop true love. my parents at the time thought I was crazy because I just gotten out of a almost 2 year abusive relationship and thought it was to soon.
so one day while we were at sams club food shopping they wanted to sit down and talk to me . so we had a long talk and I agreed to help them out with certain bills, and I told them in return I wanted to be allowed to be with Eli . so they said fine but first they wanted to have a meet and greet at the house with him. mostly they wanted to make sure he wasn't going to take advantage of me. so I remember like it was yesterday :) . my dad took me to pick Eli up at his house , and he decided to spend the weekend over. so Eli was super sweet and bought my dad a Elvis guitar ornament , my mom a betty boop ornament my sister a twilight saga bracelets and for me he got me some buttons .
that weekend he also met the rest of my family , aunts uncles cousins . everyone really loved eli and said that we made a cute couple. we got engaged December 25th 2009 and he actually surprised me. he told me he was getting me a promise ring . so I went over to his place and we exchanged gifts and next thing I know he gets down on my one knee and proposed to me. I was shocked and surprised and didn't answer him for a good 5-10 minutes. finally I said yes and called my mom right after and told her. she was excited my dad wasn't though not at first. he thought our engagement was to soon, but what my dad didn't know was me and Eli were friends for 2 years prior to us dating / getting engaged. so shortly after our engagement my dad had Eli over for a talk a big talk. so that weekend me and dad and mom went to pick up Eli and bring him over my parents house. and we ended up having dinner and after dinner we all sat down to talk. my dad told Eli about my money that I get each month and said in order to go through with this marriage he had to sign a pre nup stating he would not take advantage of me and have his own income. so he ended up signing it and we got it notarized . after that we talked about where we were going to have the wedding. and at first we were thinking my parents house but realized there wouldn't be enough parking. so then we were thinking of pa but my parents didn't like that idea because it was to far. not to mention we had a hard time picking a date. first was going to be our dating anniversary which our real one is august 4th 2009. but it was during the week and my dad wanted it on a weekend. then we were thinking maybe the fall but we couldn't decide between October or November . so eventually we chose august 27th 2010. and finally picked a venue which was villari's lakeside in Sicklerville NJ . we had a outdoor wedding under a gazebo .
and it was beautiful . but it was also rushed because most of Eli's realities were late. after the wedding my mom and dad got us a hotel room for 3 days . and it was fun , and next thing I know we went back home to live with my parents. we got annoyed because they never let us have alone time. eventually my dad's health took a turn for the worst 2012 . and sadly on my birthday may 17th 2012 we lost my dad. and about a few weeks later Eli lost his grandfather . after my dad died I went through a ton of depression , anxiety just being lonely. me and my mom got stuck being the head of the households . and we took turns taking care of the bills and each other . mostly I was taking care of her . eli helped out to . but in the fall of 2014 my mom moved out she said she felt like she was to much of a burden and that she wanted me and eli to have our own lives. and so she moved into a nursing home in Deptford nj. and me and eli stayed at the house for another year. until I fell behind on the mortgage and sadly lost the house to foreclosure . they wouldn't take my payments without my mom living there. so we had 30 days to pack up a entire 2 story house. and me and eli tried our hardest to go through everything by ourselves. we did ask for help from my relatives but they were to busy with their lives. they came the last week of us packing up the house and about to move. and took what they wanted and left. so we got our new place me and Eli in Chester pa. it wasn't much but it was a place to live. when we first moved in everything was great about almost a year living in chester pa everything changed once a particular family moved in. they let their kids do whatever they wanted. and one day one of the kids broke our house window. we called the police and reported it and they told us to let our landlord know , so we did . we ended up moving out April 9th 2016. but we gave the landlord plenty of notice. so we then got a apartment which is where were at now in brookhaven pa. and we love living here our neighbors our nice. in fact just today our neighbor picked us up from save a lot and gave us a ride home.
